The 5 Step Deo Veritas Process

Deo Veritas relies on a mix of 21st century technology coupled with traditional, old world methods meant to deliver the highest quality custom dress shirts.

STEP 1 - DESIGN

This first stage is where you the customer can begin flexing your creative muscles and design a shirt to your liking. Utilizing our shirt designer app, you first begin by selecting from over 160 fabrics across a variety of patterns and price points. Once you've squared away the fabric hit 'Next' and move on to the attribute selection.

From here, you'll begin by choosing from 11 different collar styles and 8 different cuff styles. Each change is reflected on the model shown so you're able to view every change in real time. Fourteen different order attributes ranging from Placket style, Monogramming, Button type, etc... are shirt options that Deo Veritas makes available for selection. A short narrative accompanies each, describing the order attribute in detail.

STEP 2 - MEASUREMENTS

Deo Veritas' simplified measurement process allow customers to choose from three intuitive / easy-to-follow methods. If you're short on time and/or don't have access to a measuring tape choose Standard Sizing. If you have an existing shirt that fits you perfectly and you're looking to replicate that sizing choose Existing Shirt Measurements. If you're looking to measure yourself using a traditional tailored method select Body Measurements. STEP 3 - ORDERING

Once your measurements have been completed, you'll be taken to a confirmation page within the Shirt Designer. After confirming that everything looks in order, select 'Add to Cart' and begin the checkout process. Once your billing / shipping address has been provided you'll be asked to provide payment information. Deo Veritas accepts Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and now Paypal as payment methods.

Upon acceptance of payment, you'll receive an email from our Support team confirming the sale and a note indicating that your order is 'Pending' in our system. Within two to three days, a second email will be sent from the Support indicating that your order is now formally 'Received', meaning it's been reviewed / validated by our team and is now being prepared for production.

STEP 4 - TAILORING

At this stage, your order has formally been handed to our tailors and production has commenced. The first stage is the printing of the patterns. The measurement profile provided is converted to shirt patterns via a CAD based system and printed via our 2D plotter (printer). These paper patterns are then overlaid on top of the selected fabrics and cut carefully around the outlines. Prior to cutting, particular attention is given to ensure that the fabrics are accurately aligned for areas such as the back yoke or the gauntlet (sleeve placket).

From here, the seamstresses then begin the meticulous process of sewing these pieces together to begin forming your specific shirt. To learn more about the specifics that go into the shirt making process click here and also watch this video tutorial.

The last stage of production (tailoring) is our Quality Assurance (QA) process. Every shirt is first checked for loose thread, stains, or any other non-distinguishing marks that may have occurred during the shirt making process. After this, the shirts are measured against the order form provided to ensure that they accurately represent the profile provided. If in any instance the order does not pass, the applicable shirt is tagged and reissued for amendment. Once all issues have been cleared, the order is then properly folded, secured, and sealed in plastic wrap. Each shirt order is then wrapped in tissue paper, sealed with our emblem, and placed in a shirt box ready for delivery.

STEP 5 - DELIVERY

Once the orders have been packaged they are then labeled and picked up in daily batches for delivery by DHL. Upon pickup, DHL generates a delivery tracking number which is provided to each customer via email. Orders typically take no more than 2 days from receipt.
